TİKA Nicosia Program Coordination Office

TİKA's activities in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have increased over the years, with the opening of the TİKA Nicosia Office in 2019. To date, various projects have been implemented in the TRNC in various areas, including education, healthcare, agriculture, strengthening administrative infrastructure, support for civil society organizations, and cultural cooperation.

TİKA, which produces projects that directly impact human life in the TRNC, also works to ensure that the struggle of the Turkish Cypriots is not forgotten and passed on to future generations. One of these is the Museum of Barbarism, a symbol of the struggle of the Turkish Cypriot people. The house at the center of the Bloody Christmas attacks in 1963, where Major Nihat İlhan's wife, Mürüvvet Hanım, and their three children were martyred, has been restored by TİKA and transformed into a modern museum depicting the struggle of the Turkish Cypriots. Working in collaboration with the TRNC authorities, TİKA continues its projects to support the Turkish Cypriots.
