The museum is essentially the house numbered 13 in Walled City, Kirlizade Street in Nicosia, where Alparslan Türkeş was born on November 25, 1917, as the child of Tuzlalı Ahmet Hamdi Bey and Fatma Zehra Hanım, from the Koyunoğlu family. Alparslan Türkeş lived in this house until he was 8 years old. This house was restored by TİKA and turned into a museum in 2019 and opened on July 21, 2019. The house is adjacent to the Lusignan House, which currently serves as a museum.
The house where Alparslan Türkeş was born in Nicosia was in danger of collapse after years of neglect. In 2018, restoration works initiated by TIKA were completed in 2019 and the house was turned into a museum. Personal belongings, photographs and a silicon statue of Alparslan Türkeş are exhibited in the museum. In order to expand the museum, the adjacent area was added to the inner garden and an additional room was built. To ensure sustainability, the equipments of that room were also met.
